Let this be a place where poetry,be it in the form of words, math equations, images or programs, be honored. I invite all members of the "Culture and Science Writing Workshop" to add their poetry to this site. Please add your work as comments, or those members who would like to be added as authors to this blog, please let me know. In this way we will have a record of the verse that we can all look back on and appreciate.

Roses R Red
Violets are Blue
I'm posting here
What about the rest of you people?
Well here is my effort for this week-
On the corner he paced
Traffic morning rush
Could he cross
Which way and when should he cross
While I impatient at the light
Foot on the brake
Thinking
What a jerk, don’t you know where you’re going?
Please move not when my light goes green
I have places to go and the news is of more shootings
I noticed
His black leather shoe was untied but finely polished
Pants were valiantly pressed
His collar was scruntched in under his obviously new career coat
That scratching reminded me that so was mine
And then it was I on the corner Pacing
Undecided as to where I was going
But trying to do it right
It was only an instant and I was back wondering if I had really been
The attaché he carried was a surprisingly lovely cerulean blue
I dialed away from the news to my music
Everyone in my view now moved to the beat
He stepped firmly back away from the curb
And I decided to go with the flow
